Rare Conta & Boehme Victorian Lady Bisque Porcelain Jardiniere Circa 1845 - 1891Rare antique bisque porcelain jardiniere / vase of a hand painted lady figurine in a pink and white late Victorian gown with a bustle in the back and applied floral encrustation to the side of the vase. With gold gilt highlights. Marked on the bottom with the green Conta & Boehme shield, as well as a faint impressed Conta & Boehme shield and impressed number 8587. The Conta & Bohme Porcelain Identification and Value guide gives the dates for the impressed mark was around 1840/1845 to 1891, and the green mark was being used after 1891. This exact jardiniere is pictured on page 124 of the Conta & Boehme Porcelain Identification and Value Guide (refer to the last picture). She originally had a bird that sat on her shoulder, but this has been broken or lost over time. The correct counterweight weight the bird was originally glued to is included in the listing. There is one large chip to one of the encrusted leaves and a few small chips to the floral encrustation. Does not appear to have any other damage.Measures approximately 6 1/8\" wide x 8 1/8\" tall.This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the scene.Please see my other listings for more Conta & Boehme porcelain.
