He wears a straw hat and carries a sake bottle in one hand and a cloth purse in the other hand. Overall very good condition. Very nicely depicted Shigaraki Tanuki with no chips or cracks. Description For your consideration, an Antique Shigaraki Tanuki from the early 1900\'s, Black, brown and off-white glazes, imitates the fur color of the Japanese Racoon Dog. He wears a straw hat and carries a sake bottle in one hand and a cloth purse in the other hand. Overall very good condition. Very nicely depicted Shigaraki Tanuki with no chips or cracks. Very Heavy due to the thickness of the pottery material being used.

Measures: 12 inches tall, 7 inches wide, 5 inches depth.
