This is an exceptional antique french Baccarat cut crystal glass 8 day mantel desk clock, it has its classic portico look to it with it all being in amazing conditionCase is constructed from an amazing high quality cut glass by baccarat with the arched top and pillar portico design, the case has various bronze ormolu mounts that are all in excellent original condition and display beautifully against the glass case with thier original ormolu finish to them and they are all of very fine qualityThe case features a glass back to movement through which the original escapement can be seen working and the front door hinges open to reveal access to the movementIt has a silvered and porcelain dial with arabic numerals, the dial is in original condition with original handsThe clock has an 8 day french platform escapement movement which is totally original to the clock and of the highest quality imaginable, the movement is in full working order keeping good timeThe clock measures 8.25 inches high x 6 inches wide x 3 inches deepThis is an extremely rare amazing fine quality cut glass baccarat crystal desk clock which is a perfect investment clock that will only increase in valueApprox Date: 1890
