This rod is stamped with a serial # G-70 on the butt cap which was the 70th rod made in 1942, and is listed as:
8’ Thomas Special, Dry Fly rod, with a wood spacer reel seat, Thomas style grip, Dark Brown silk tipped with Blue at the base of each section.
rod measures 8 feet long when assembled, comes with 3 full length sections andweighs 3 5/8 oz.
this rod was completed on 3/24/1942, and sold to Stoddard’s in Boston on 5/12/1943.
this rod is in mint condition and it appearsto be all original with the originalmetal storage tube
