that is available for sale anywhere.

Amazing historic two book set formatted as correspondence to various prominent persons,

Earls, Dukes, Ladies, Countesses, etc.

I am uncertain whether these are fictional or a compilation of actual correspondence

formatted into book volumes.

The letters are generally back and forth between Robert and Adela de MontFort

and other prominent persons.

Condition: Looks about what you often see in a 222 year old book set.

Leather over boards, with boards firmly attached but some separaration splitting starting.

Normal scuffs to leather boards, corners worn, and chipping to leather on spine.

Interior has the requisite foxing, which is moderate to heavy at times but not generally does not obsure the text.

A few names/writing inside the covers, but the body of text is free of writing.

Name in back of vol II is \'Maria Louisa Frank\'s book - January 5th 1803\'

Pages intact, book block relatively tight, but first 15-20 pages starting to separate on Vol I.

Overall books are sound and tight for untouched books of this age.

The title plate on spines has the name Adela misspelled as \'Edala\'

Books measure just under 7 inches by 4 inches.
