I acquiredthis at a local sale and from what I discovered from a free e-bookUnited States Congressional serial set, Issue 3860 that this is from the Spanish -American War. Cannon I could not verify 100% because of a lack of info on this model and found no pictures. That being said, if someone out there has info they would like to share please let me know. If it\'s truly original from 1898 it\'s in fantastic shape. Has a brass level that is intact. I measures 7 1/2 by 9 inches and reads Line of fire depression and Line of fire elevation. The bubble level adjusts the MOA, minute of angle. Adjusts from 0-65 degrees. Really a cool piece that I\'m selling with . Canon Sight
