Description
Lalique medals made during the second decade of the 20th Century are very collectible and quite rare. This particular medal was produced in 1915, and honors ordinary French soldiers ("Poilu") There is also the signature, R. Lalique.
The medal is in the shape of a cross, and depicts a naked person grabbing an eagle by the throat. Originally a brooch, the pin on the back is missing.
The piece is about 35 mm in diameter and weighs about 10 grams. (F3519)
