Absolutely amazing French Etui. This rare beauty is a near perfect find. The only flaw is the missing scissors.

The hand painted enamel lid & bottom are free of chips, cracks or repairs. The only exception to this is on the lid at the 10 & 11 o\'clock area there are three very minute areas that I mention for accuracy sake. These flea bites do not detract from the overall beauty or value of this piece.

I am guessing this piece is from the late 19th early 20th century, however, I am no expert. Nonetheless, this piece has survived in AMAZING condition at any age.

I have scoured the case and utensils for any makers marks and have had no success.

Interior bottom is a blue felt and top blue silk. Interior houses a thimble, needle holder, pick as shown in photos. These items were present when I purchased the piece. I\'m sure suitable scissors could be found if one was inclined to complete this piece.

Measures approximately 5\" x 2 3/4\" x 1/2\"

Opens and closes perfectly with a nice snap.

Please understandthisEtui (compact)is vintage/antique. Not new condition.
