The Kelly is acoveted and scarce bag. Like its muse, Grace Kelly, this bag is the definitionof timeless elegance. The original prototype for this bag dates back to 1892when Hermes developed a large bag to hold a saddle; the prototype was modifiedover the decades but theKelly sold by Hermes today is similar to the Saca Depeches introduced in the 1930s. In 1954, Grace Kelly was given the bag touse in the Hitchcock movie “To Catch A Thief”. She wore it regularly after hermarriage to Prince Rainier of Monaco - it was dubbed the Kelly bag. It wasofficially called the Kelly in 1977.

This bag is lightly used and is sold AS IS. There is minorscuffing on the metal hardware on the bag’s feet and on the clasp in the front.The leather is in very good condition in general. There are minor scuffs on thefront of the bag. The box calf leather shows scuffing quite easily.

The bag was just “refreshed” by Hermès before being listed (Refesh certificate in pictures). As such, thebag is in as good of condition as a lightly pre-owed bag can be.

Overall condition isvery good. Some hardware pieces still have plastic covers on, leather is mostlycrisp and hold shape perfectly. Rare hardware sets this bag apart.
