You are looking at a rare Pilot Namiki large fountain pen. It is marked faintly on the barrel Pilot Namiki Mfg Co LTD with logo and Made in Japan. The clip is marked Pilot. It is dark brown in color, the nib holder is a lighter brown. It has a Pilot Warranted 14k gold nib, No 50. This pen is huge, it measures 6.5\" long when capped, 8 1/4\" long posted. It is about 1/2\" thick across the barrel. There is a thick band around the cap that has two gold toned bands and inside it is green, black and maroon lacquer or enamel and two gold toned birds in flight. It isn\'t signed with artists name. It has some sort of vacuum fill system. I couldn\'t find much out about this pen, but one website stated that these were dubbed Jumbo No 50.
There is a blemish on the back of the cap on the band, see photos. There are marks on the barrel on the piece that pulls out for the vacuum fill. I was able to pull out the fill mechanism, but don\'t know the condition of the ink sac or bladder or if it sucks up ink. There are no monograms or engravings. No chips or cracks. Sold as is.
