In overall good condition my opinion considering it\'s age. It has a few condition issues such as the canvas hanging a bit from the top as you can see from the photos, it needs to be realigned. There is also Craquelure with age and stretcher bar marks. It could also use a good cleaning by a professional. It is signed in the bottom right-hand corner Wood with an anchor drawn. The other examples of the artists work that I\'ve seen seem to have variations of the artists signature with this one being signed H. A. Wood. It appears sometimes he signed his full name or initials with his last name but always with the anchor drawn after the signature. The detail of the schooner is fantastic as well as the tiny figures and it is an exceptional piece that is very well done. I\'ve seen other examples by the artist with the same exact style of frame which in my opinion lends the authenticity of the piece. The frame is sturdy but is a bit beat up with age with some paint loss, dings, and scratches. Sold as is as found so please look at the photos closely and feel free to ask any questions.
