Parting with the set shown in the original box. Child\'s tea set. Box labeled Manufactured By James W. Tufts 33 to 39 Bowler Street Boston. 16 pieces total. Pieces are unmarked, likely as the box is, and do not respond to a magnet. I assume they are silver plate but am no expert. I obtained the set from a dealer\'s estate. The dealer had a price tag on the set of $575 and was from his personal home collection and not a store. That is as much as I know. I do not know how long the set was in the dealer\'s possession.
I have not cleaned. Common wear as shown to box. The box bottom does pull away from the rest of the box, I did not try to secure it or make it better. Wear and staining to box. Some pieces of the set are a little out of round (cups and saucers). I did not try to improve any of the pieces.
Hard to find. Box about 12.25\" x 5\" x 7.5\" more or less. The tea pot stands just under 4\". The base has a little dimple to the bottom edge. The lidded pot is about 3.5\". The creamer base is out of round, the sugar bowl has no spoon if there ever was one. Saucers about 2\" across. Cups about 1.25\" high. About 4 saucers are in what I would describe as good shape, not out of round, and three cups. The other cups and saucers are little out of round, some noticeable some less so. Both brass hooks function as designed and have good patina.
