Youare offerding on the wonderful and amazing silk wall hanging which isaround 100 years old! What makes it rare is that the inscription isactual Arabic and not pseudo-Arabic. This type of wall hanging or bedcover was made in Europe for the domestic market. This one appears tohave been made in Europe for the Islamic market!

Thisis a large wall hanging is 150cm x 150cm!

Theamount of detail on it is stunning! The images are repeated in eachcorner in reverse/mirror. Starting from the corner, you have a man ona horse carrying a rifle, then you have three men sitting under apalm tree with a masjid in the background, under the men is acalligraphic inscription. My Arabic skills are basic so I am unableto translate the inscription – any help would be much appreciated!Two sides of the panel have a large masjid in the centre surroundedby palm trees and if you look carefully you can see cactus trees!There is a LOT of detail on this large panel and the colours arebright and vivid! The condition of this wonderful and beautiful workof art is excellent with no tears, stains or damage.

Thisamazing piece would look stunning on the wall correctly displayed.
