Fantastic & rare HUGE 31.5\" antique Victorian era Black Forest hand carved solid wood \"Fruits of the Hunt\" motif wall plaque with exquisitely detailed game figures, hunting implements and oak leaves! Isn\'t this one GREAT! Almost three feet in height, magnificent detail throughout and in an attractive lighter wood finish. The back panel or plaque is in solid carved wood with reticulated oak leaves at the top and sides with a small cluster of three at the bottom. The figures and hunting implements are also solid wood, hand carved into the amazing array you see here and bringing the depth of the piece to just under 4\". A massive stag or deer figure the most prominent in the grouping, a smaller game bird to the right and both hung as if fresh from the hunt. Nestled behind the figures you see a rifle, hunter\'s satchel and powder horn along with additional foliage accents. Truly impressive, one of the few that we can truly say is in remarkable condition given its age, as you can see in the images. Also, one of two great old Black Forest hunt themed plaques that we\'re adding today so take a peek at the other while you\'re with us. Enjoy! Very good to excellent condition. There are a few flaws to mention but, as you can see, this one is in overall magnificent shape! A small portion of the carved \'board\' frame has chipped off on the bottom left side. There is also a chipped oak leave on the bottom grouping, right side, and some other small nips to leaf tips here and there. No warping to the plaque and no damage whatsoever to the figures, at least that I could see on inspection. See images for all measurements.

Insurance has been eliminated as an option by , forcing us sellers to either ship your items without insurance or assume that expense also. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replacable. Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is recieved (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.

8.75% sales tax applicable as of April 1st, 2009 for shipments & sales within the state of California, no exceptions. If you are within CA and are a dealer buying for resale, you must provide us your active resale certificate # and acknowledgment of intent to resell or we will have to collect sales tax.
