Rare large Camille Tharaud Art Nouveau Limoges Plaque Tile Pate sur Pate with Nymph 10 3/4\" Selected Antiques from Paris Unusual heavy, large and rare early 20th century Camille Tharaud Art Nouveau Tile or Plaque in white Pate sur Pate on deep cobalt blue showing a \"Flower Nymph\".
The plaque is in extremely fine condition except two firing defects : a small dark hole lower left and a spot (on the flower\'s lower stem) of barbotine (slip) which could be professionally removed.The protecting fabric on the back has not been removed but the plaque was without any doubt made by famous ceramist C. Tharaud (1878-1956) in Limoges. The relief design is far more precise on this rare high quality decorative plaque than on commons items.
