Antique Art Nouveau Tin Box Red with Graphic Flowers

Beautiful and unusual, this antique tin box is strikingly decorated with large graphic flowers in red and peachy pink. Black and metallic gold accents set things off wonderfully. This large tin is shaped somewhere between a square and a rectangle, and has a hinged lid. It appears to date to between 1910 and 1920.The tin is European, likely French. Some generalized wear and patina for an antique look. An amazing find!

CONDITION:

The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear, some scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, some small dents and dings, etc.

Additional condition issues of note:

· Generalized wear and patina over the tin, with most wear along the lid edges and on the back side of the base.

· Some early rust on lid, here and there elsewhere on tin.

· Lid can be popped in and out at one area, some denting/bowing.

· Some patina inside and a few small rust spots.

· Bottom is dark with patina and some larger spots of surface rust.

· Hinge is well attached and moves freely.

· Tin opens and closes fine with a little coaxing.

Approximate size of tin is about 9.25” by 8” by about 2.75 tall.

The tin is empty.
