Rare Meissen Large Figural Group Peasant And Cows Ca. 1930:

This rare large figural group was modeled by Otto Pilz for Meissen circa 1920. It is called Peasant with Cows. It measures a 17in in length and 11in tall. The modeling is beautifully done, right down to cow\'s hoof stuck in the mud. The painting is understated and perfect for the piece. The mark indicates production between 1924 and 1934. This piece was collected by my mother and father when stationed in Wiesbaden 1965-67. It is still in perfect condition. It would be an incredible piece in any Meissen collection.
