The Minox C is the longest Minox subminiature camera; where a Minox AIIIs is 82mm including PC flash connector, the C is 122 mm long. It is about half an inch longer than an Minox B. The Minox C represented a major design overhaul incorporating many changes. Most significantly, a fully automatic shutter speed-governing CdS meter replaced the Selenium meter. The extra length of the C over the B is to accommodate the new meter-and its batteries. As a consequence of the CdS meter, a third dial to set the ISO appeared at the top of the camera in place of the B\'s meter display, and the available shutter speeds in manual mode changed in both value (100th/50th/20th became 125th/60th/30th, etc.) and range (fixed speeds slower than 1/15th were no longer possible.) A warning light on the camera indicated slow exposures to recommend tripod or flash use. A film-advance/shutter-cock interlock was added allowing the camera to be opened and closed without advancing the film if a picture hadn\'t been taken (and a new exposure-counter counted down rather than up.) An improved lens no longer requiring the curved film plane replaced the Complan. The new meter used a smaller window as opposed to the Minox B\'s large one.
