This is a New England Woodlands Indian basket that I am selling. There is a tag with it that says Nipmuck Indian and Mohican (sp) underneath. It was bought in 1944 in Windham Ct at sale. It certainly has the markings of Nipmuc as it is brushed in red and blue and has what looks like a sun design stamped. It may have had handles. I am selling it as is. There are no breaks in the Splint. There are 2 areas around the top where splint is missing. See my photos. It measures 14\" long and 5 1/2\" high. I combine on postage so please check my other items. Postage will be the actual by weight. I add no fees. Thank you for looking.
