Here is a rare opportunity to obtain a new old stock, made by the famous Whitehead and Hoag - Tacoma, Washington Local Union No. 113 Cigar Makers International Union of America badge. This item came from the family of the original owner (their grandfather) who worked in this Union in the early 1900\'s, and it includes the original C.M.I.U envelope & a rarely found cardboard backer that the badge came with. The look of this is spectacular, with a celluloid center emblem of the Union, the lettering and fabric is virtually untouched, and the In Memoriam side is equally as impressive. Both the metal encased Member handshake celluloid and center Union-made Cigars celluloid are marked The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, NJ, and the ribbon has the Badge made by Whitehead & Hoag Company label in between the front and rear ribbons.
The overall ribbon size is 8 3/4\" by 2 3/4\", and it is in excellent condition with a few of the frills at the outside edge not firmly attached. The envelope with the string closure has wear, dirt, writing, and tears as seen in the photos.
