Straight Stitch Sewing Machine The Good:
Pictures are taken by me of the actual machine you are purchasing, not stock or stolen photos.This vintage machine makes a proper stitch when properly adjusted for the type of thread and fabric being sewn and is fully functional.This machine has a boss on the right end so a hand crank may be added if desired. Hand crank mechanism is not included!Lever type stitch length control.Case type bobbin located beneath the slide plate to the left of the feed area.Uses short shank feet.Takes Singer 15 x 1 Needles and class 15 bobbins.Made in The United States of America!Machine has been cleaned and lubricated, and the bobbin winder tire has been replaced.An extra bobbin (besides the one in the machine) is included, along with assorted feet and a package of Singer needles, and a CD copy of the owner\'s manual (PDF file format; Adobe Reader or equivalent required to view) are included.Additional pictures are available.The machine is packed threaded so you can see how it\'s done, and shipped DOUBLE BOXED for maximum protection. The Not-So-Good:
There are chips along the edge of the bed. There is a large chip on the back of the arm near the screw above the presser foot lever, and a small chip near the small screw toward the end of the scroll decal on the back of the arm. There is paint missing on arm. Face plate, slide plate, throat plate, hand wheel & stop knob and rear access plate have pitting. The finish throughout the machine is dull, worn and the clear coat is yellowed and crackled. See pictures for condition detail. Additional Information: Hinge spacing is approx. 9¾\" on center. Bed is approx. 14 5/8\" x 7\". Needle is approx. 6 7/8\" from vertical part of arm. In Conclusion:
This machine sews beautifully!
