A very fine large old Yupik Eskimo lidded storage basket dating from the early 1900\'s. The basket is finely woven from natural coiled sea grasses and the complex design featuring floral patterns in dyed wools. The basket measures 11\" D and stands an 8\" tall and is in fine condition for its agewith no damages or repairs noted. A few minor bits of edge stitch loss on edge of lid rim and some wear as expected on the bottom. The basket makes an excellent display item and a fine addition to anyone\'s collection. This fine museum quality basket is worthy of the finest collections.
