Rare Original Vintage March 20,1971 Black Panther Party Newspaper Volume Vl, No. 8 with great Emory Douglas back cover art. This original vintage Black Community Newspaper is in good condition for being 47 years old, with age toning & edge wear & creases on the bottom of the last three pages. No other major damage, but look at the photos closely to get a good look before offerding. This newspaper has been stored flat, not folded. It measures 11 1/2\" x 17 1/2\". All 20 pages are there & all are shown in the photos so there\'s no guesswork as to the condition or content. This is Volume Vl Number 8 from March 20, 1971. The cover story is a letter from the San Quentin branch of the Black Panther Party to Eldridge Cleaver & his Conspirators accusing Cleaver of treason & counter-revolutionary tactics against his comrades. Some of the articles inside this issue include: The Police State & Reagan\'s Slave Labor Schemes, Merritt College Strikes, Nevada & Welfare Mothers, Bradley Green Sentenced to 15 to 50 Years, an interesting ad asking for funds to provide transportation for medicine men to visit Native Americans prisoners on Alcatraz Island, Anatomy of a Agent Provocateur, Revolutionary Self-Defense, Winter Soldiers Testify, George Jackson Attacked Again, The Trial of Bobby & Ericka Beginning March 18th, Open Letter to the Press, the cover San Quentin story in the centerfold & The Revolutionary Intercommunal Day of Solidarity in Denmark. As usual, there\'s wonderful graphic art by the Black Panther Minister of Culture, the Revolutionary artist, Emory Douglas. The back cover is worthy of framing. It\'s an interesting newspaper & sadly, it doesn\'t seem that out-of-date with the current struggles of Black Americans. This is an fascinating political newspaper for any Black Panther Party or Civil Rights collector. Why buy a reprint when you can have the real thing?***Although the newspaper has a crease in the center, it wasstored flat, not folded, so it will be mailed in a large, flat package to maintain its good condition. Each individual newspaper will also be placed in a archival plastic sleeve.Be sure to check out my other Black Panther newspapers that I have listed. I will combine shipping if you are offerding on more than one newspaper, just wait for me to adjust the invoice before paying. Thanks!****
