A beautiful original stand embossed Merk\'s Patented Sept. 1, 1891 or possibly 1881 Christmas Tree Holder
It measures approximately 12 1/2\" in height
It measures approximately 11\" at the greatest point from outer foot to outer foot
No paint is remaining
I believe center bottom of fixture probably had two \"ears\" but only one remains
It doesn\'t appear to affect the function of the stand
If it did break off it must have been a long time ago because I don\'t see a fresh break. (please see the photo of the bottom underside to view) I do not see any other cracks or breaks
Still functional! Yes, it still works! Turn the bottom remaining ear, like a butterfly washer, to allow two upper arms to separate
