You are buying a vintage rare P 1907 hooked Quillon bayonet with a 1917 style Scabbard I believed that they were just put in the scabbards to protect the blades on the bayonnet bayonet features the following markings on one side of the ricasso there is a crown with the letters er for GR below it 1907 then the numbers 11:11 I\'m guessing this is the date code for the 11th month of 1911 and the name Chapman on the other side of the ricasso you have the following markings you have the bending mark proof of blade you also have two government acceptance marks you also have a small symbol with the letter B 6 with a small letter e below it I believe these are Enfield proof markings there are three total the handguard is marked with the letter v 13094 the blade is very sharp I believe these Bandits were not issued as they are still coated with a yellow colored varnish on all metal parts it looks to be some type of preservative to keep them from rusting Barrel locking stud works perfectly retracts when pushed hand grips are in very nice condition look to be dark for their age but show no cracks chips or breaks the hook on the handguard shows no bending or breaks now onto the sheath the sheet has a metal chape and a metal locket with a belt clip attached the material in between looks to be leather it is sewed on the side and is like a green color it is rigid on the chape there is a small GF inside a Circle I\'m not sure if this helps I have been unable to locate this marking in any of my books this is a very nice early rare Chapman bayonet and Scabbard any questions please feel free to ask buyer must be 18 years of age shipping will be free us international buyers I use international shipping
