Correctly stored in a rod sock and untouched for over 60 years is this magnificent Phillipson Pacemaker 51 7\'4\" spinning rod to add to your collection of fine Phillipson bamboo rods.
All of the silk windings are as new as are the line guides which are clean and straight as are the ferrules. What looks like rust on the guides is the original protective coating.Cork grip is undamaged though I see a very tiny nick in the aluminum barrel nut. Weight is 4.7 oz.
Though not an expert, I\'d give this unique rod a solid 9-9.5 on condition.It\'s a two piecerod and each section measures about 42.\" The upper section is as flawless as the day it was made while the lower section is nearly as perfect save for a tiny amount of shellac that is rough on an edge. It\'s almost undetectable.
Rod goes together easily and comes apart with very little effort. Please exam the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
