Rare Pair Japanese Imari Figural Bookends:
$232.50

A rare and unusual pair of 19th century Japanese Imari book ends. They are sitting geisha figures holding scrolls. The robesare beautifully painted in under glaze blue, rust, green, pink, brown and yellow in an all over floral pattern. The backs of the figures are flat to support the books. They measure 6 3/4\" in height and 5 1/2\" long across the bases. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. There are no signatures or markings on the pieces. These are really beautiful! These pieces and the other Asian items being listed are from an old collection now being downsized. I ship to the USA only and combine shipping costs for multiple items purchased.

On Dec-17-17 at 06:02:56 PST, seller added the following information:

In picture 7 of the bases there is an in the making firing line where the clay of the base meets the clay of the figure. It\'s about 5/8\" in length and feels like a little clay separation. There are no other issues with the figures.
