ABOUT ARTIST:

Mchael Meketi was born in Pennsylvania in 1918, the son ofPolish

Ukrainian & Hungarian immigrants.

He grew up in Illinois and ended up working for the railroad,but

his passion was art and his art wasmostly themes of theSouthwest.

Meketi also drew cartoons and contributed religious works to nearbychurches.

Perhaps fitting, Michael passed away in 1987, at his gallery.
