  I recently aquired at a Northern New Jersey sale, several pieces which originated in the actual collections of the world reknowned Newark Museum. This Flag, as well as nineteen others of countries which participate in the United Nations, is part of this great find. These Flags are all made to the highest standard of precision and quality, and date back to the 1940\'s. They are made with a heavy, durable linen and are 3\' by 5\'. They are manufactured by the oldest and largest Flagmaking company in America: Annin.
  Annin Flagmakers was founded in 1847 by Alexander Annin and was formerly a ship\'s chandler located on Fulton Street in New York City. It is still a family owned business to this day, and it\'s accomplishments are quite impressive:  Supplies National Flags to all the members of the United Nations.

  Supplied the Flag for the innauguration of Abraham Lincoln and the Flag that draped his casket on it\'s train trip home.  Supplied the Flag for the opening ceremonies of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883.  Supplied the Flag for Commander Robert E. Peary\'s arrival at the North Pole in 1909 and Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd\'s arrival at the South Pole 21 years later.  Flag Raising by US Marines atop Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima, 1945.  Supplier to the Nasa Apollo Space Program, including the Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969.  Supplied the Flag for America\'s Bicentennial Celebration.  The design and inception of the POW-MIA Flag in 1979.  Supplied the Flags for every Presidential Innauguration since Zachary Taylor. And the list goes on and on.
