For sale in this lot is a classic piece of Victorianantiquefurniture, this elegant screen would have been used in a largebedroom or as a room divider. It is covered in Victorian decoupage figures, andis totally original. All of the frame work is edged with gold gilt light beadedthat shows wear and tear through loss of paint and cracks in places. There issome damage to the paperwork which we have shown in the photographs. This couldeasily be repaired. The screen is completely functional as it is, and extremelyattractive for any period property. This Victorian dressing screen is anextremely rare piece of classic English Victorian antiquefurniture. Underneath the decoupage is the original hessian fabricwhich can be seen in areas.
