Rare Victorian Sterling Grape or Fruit Stand Dish Centrepiece c1870
Richly decorated with foliage shells and grapevine motifs. The photos do not do this wonderful impressive piece of art justice. Normally these are found in silver plate and only very rarely in sterling silver. It\'s possibly German or even American, I can\'t decide! But it is very very fine quality.A small piece of one of the leaves has broken off at some time in the past but is not really noticeable amidst all the other leaves (photo 5).Hallmarked 925 for sterling silver and a star shaped maker\'s mark.Height: 25 cmWeight: approx. 800 grams
