Rare Vintage 80\'s Fontanini 4\" Scale Nativity & Stable Set 14 Pieces:

This is a nativity set by Fontanini, created in Italy. It includes 14 pieces when you count the stable and the crèche. Each figure, starting with Mary is labeled as follows: \"Italy 100/1\". The crèche and baby Jesus are \"Italy 100/2\". Joseph is \"Italy 100/3 and so on. The last piece in the set is a bagpiper. He is labeled \"Italy 100/12\". The detailing on these pieces is immaculate.

It\'s my understanding that the 4\" and 4.5\" scale sets were the first sets sold in the United States. When these sets were retired, they were replaced with the 5\" scale sets.
