Rare Vintage ANRI Steam Train Engine Bookends 1950s/60s Wooden Childrens:

You are invited to offer on this lovely vintage pair of wooden bookends, made in Italy by ANRI in the 1950s/60s. They are in the form of a steam train going through a railway tunnel. The front bookend shows the front of the train\'s engine emerging from the tunnel, while the other has the end of the train going into the tunnel. The front of the train has a friendly face on it, and the head of the train driver sticking out of the side. A passenger is sticking their head out of the back of the train and waving. This is a rare ANRI design that I haven\'t seen before. These bookends would be perfect decoration for a child\'s room.

The front bookend measures 5.75\" tall by 4.25\" long. Both bookends bear the remains of a foil ANRI label dating them to between 1954 and 1967. They are in fair condition. The driver has lost his cap, there is some chipping to the brim of the passenger\'s hat, there may be a small piece missing from the front of the engine and there is a little minor rubbing/wear overall.
