This is a Great Collectible and RARE Original 1948 Edition of Ruth Crawford Seeger\'s AMERICAN FOLK SONGS FOR CHILDREN ~ Very Charming and would be a wonderful book for the music lover in your life, or the book collector, or great for homeschoolers!Carl Sandburg wrote about this book at the time and said, \"Ruth Seeger\'s song book is no sudden notion. The inside pages are very good, although slight yellowing due to it\'s age -also a little soiled on the cover (please see all photos carefully and feel free to ask questions). However there is no writing or scribble marks, it is still tightly bound, there is some fraying at the spine\'s corner edges and at the top of the spine, the outer shell has separated about from the spine about an inch and half but still intact. There is also no dust cover.
This is just so vintage though and so charming well used from days of yore. An all around wonderful collectible book for the family and kids and it\'s wonderfully illustrated with black and white illustrations by Barbara Cooney. This book is a great collectible!!
