Unusual find in this vintage mod op art kinetic lucite sculpture-turned-lamp!!! This is a rare take on the wire and lucite dome sculpture, as it sits atop a wooden base and lights up from the bottom. The base of the sculpture dome is hollow, and it fits exactly over the hole on the base. I am using a 7 watt nightlight bulb, but I think a small LED night light bulb would be better and not as warm as the old style bulbs. A colored light bulb, like orange, would also be great. The sculpture is in excellent condition. It has not been splayed like most of these were. It can be arranged as the new owner sees fit. It looks good as is, or you can spread the wires apart into more of a sunburst / starburst/ retro effect. There are no cracks in the lucite, and this is the nicer quality vintage brand that has smooth edges and clean lines. Fantastic mod colors, and when lighted, casts a unique glow - perfect for your tiki bar, credenza, wall unit, anywhere! The lamp stands 16.5\" tall and the base ( not sure if it\'s home made or original to the light or something repurposed ) is 6.5\" square.
