Yves Paquin was born in Montreal in 1951. The same year, his family moved to Rouyn-Noranda where he spent all his youth until he was 17 years old.His first encounter with drawing was communicated to him by his father, a visual arts enthusiast.Self-taught, he experimented during all these years, drawing, painting, sculpture and cartoon.He left the region in 1968 to settle in the Outaouais.In 1971, after his years at Cégep in Hull, Yves Paquin found a job at the Bureau des Langues in Ottawa.During a period of 8 years, he designed audio-visual teaching methods for French as a second language.In 1976, he began to illustrate the Tarot of Marseilles, work that will take him more than 2 years.This book, known as the ideological Tarot of the Kebek, was executed only with the help of compasses and squares, in the manner of the Middle Ages imageners.In 1978, he received for this work, the Prize of the Graphic Designers awarded by the Compagnons de Lure, in France.For the occasion, the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Paris, exhibits its 22 paintings in one of its rooms.Subsequently, this serie of 22 silkscreen prints, with 69 limited copies, was the subject of an exhibition tour in France and Quebec.In 1980, Jacques Languirand proposed to him to publish his work in book format with cards, jointly with his publisher Minos and Editions de Mortagne.Dimension cm 64x32 about,still visible the gold,wonderful work for collectors.Ask me for everything,thank youSuggerisci una modifica
