Up for your consideration is a rare original WW2 (World War Two) Servicemen\'s release package! Not knowing much about it, I\'ll try to describe it the best I can. Apparently, returning soldiers from WW2 were given these handy packets to help transition them back to civilian life. Each packet has the soldiers accompanying ID number. This one is \"M9563\". The packet contains an original leather and canvas wallet (with matching \"M9563\" number also stamped on it). It has sections labeled \"PASSES\" and \"CHECKS AND BILLS\". There appears to be an image of an American Flag on it as well.; there are two beautiful colorfully graphic map books ( \"SERVICEMEN\'S WORLD WAR MAP\" and SERVICEMEN\'S MAP OF THE UNITED STATES\") both including ribbon identification guides and insignia of the armed forces guides. There\'s also \"FIGHTING FACTS\", The returning soldier, a \"restricted\" pamphlet. There\'s also a 1943 \"TRANSPORTATION MAP OF HONOLULU\" bus and trolley guide with great graphics as well! And finally, \"RAY WALKER\'S 1942-1943 CABIN TRAILS AND SELECTED HOTEL COURTS\" guide! Fantastic graphics! The ephemera ( paper related items) are in remarkable condition as they remained stored inside the folder for over 72 years! The canvas packet/ folder has expected discoloration, staining and an apparent adhesive residue area possibly from an early sticker. I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO CLEAN ANY OF THIS IN ANY WAY. I\'m hoping a true collector will make this historic collection theirs to enjoy! The packet measures 10 inches tall by 7 inches wide.
