Rare Vtg 1930s BENT Panel RIBBED GLASS TABLE LAMP--Bradley Hubbard/Handel Era-NR Vtg 1930s BENT Panel RIBBED GLASS TABLE LAMP--Bradley Hubbard/Handel Era--RAREThis fabulous lamp reminds me of a lot of the lighting from the staff area (downstairs) in the current season of Downton Abbey, decorative yet utilitarian. It\'s most likely from the 1930s, and has a Victorian/Art Deco-meets-machine-age feel to it. I believe that there is a maker\'s mark on the top ring of the shade, but it didn\'t take well and the finish makes it even harder to read. The lamp is made of pot (white) metal, painted a deep brownish bronze color...somewhat darker than the pics. It\'s in very nice condition, and stands 24\" tall. It has two pull-chain sockets. The wiring was updated at some point and works well. For extra character, one of the chains is rusty, the other isn\'t. There are some scuffs and scratches to the finish, and some paint loss. The metal hasn\'t been polished and has a nice patina. The glass on the lamp is technically Halophane glass, I think, bent and fit as a slag glass lamp would be. There are some flaws to the glass panels...there are a couple of light scratches, a couple of manufacturing flaws/lines, and one panel was broken and repaired. It appears stable, and would be the perfect panel to face the wall. In spite of any flaws, the lamp displays beautifully. It\'s a heavy lamp...about 20 pounds...and will be shipped with insurance at no additional cost.Please see all pics for additional detail, and keep in mind that these are close up shots that can bring out flaws that the naked eye wouldn\'t notice.
