Up for sale is a terrific, rare Japanese ceramic porcelain pillow with strung tiles for the top for greater comfort. I\'m not been able to find another pillow like it. The piece is embossed with ocean wave design as are the tops of the tiles. There are even mantra rays or stingrays swimming by. The piece is 8.25\" long, 4.5\" wide and 4.75\" tall. The string used is aged and just now a piece of the string has come apart. The entire piece could be easily restrung and that would be a great opportunity to clean everything in the hard to reach places. The ceramic porcelain is all in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. There\'s just some crackle to the glaze. I purchased this at an estate sale and am uncertain of its age but believe it to be several decades old. It\'s marked \"Japan\" on the bottom.
