Antique Wileman Foley Pre Shelley

Century Shape \'Blue Scenery\' 6901

This pattern was entered into the pattern books during and after 1896

and backstamp is between 1890 and 1910. The Century shape was made between 1895 and 1902

I understand that this is quite a rare pattern in this shape. It\'s called \'Blue Scenery\' but is similar to

\'Blue Devon\' that Shelley made later on other shapes.

There are no chips but there is very fine over all crazing to both

pieces. You have to look closely but it\'s there. There is also mark at

base of cup which looks like a crack but I\'m not sure. It doesn\'t go

through to the outside of cup. This is shown clearly in last photo.

The cup is 5.5 cms high and 9.5 cms wide, saucer is 14 cms wide

A set that displays well.
