Rare WW1 British Officer Cap Hat & Badges:

Here we have for sale a genuine British officers cap from WW1 with its chinstrap and one original general service button remaining. Also included with this sale are the RFC badges shown that came with this cap when I acquired it, although I don’t believe are attributed to it.

The photographs provide the best description, note that through its years the cap is starting to show its 100 years of age, there is evidence of moth nip in places. The chinstrap is intact but becoming brittle, one service button is missing, the other is still there albeit chipped. The regiment badge is missing but genuine period ones to match correctly can be found readily if you wished.

The inside as you can see has plenty of service wear, the headband as shown on a photograph is inscribed with what looks like the letters H.S.C., officers initials maybe?
