Rare WW2 Canadian Gillette Military Shaving Kit khaki, Canada vintage armyHere is a rare find, an original Made In Canada Gillette Canadian army shaving kit, courtesy of my dear old Canadian WW2 vet Grandpa.You don’t see these old shaving kits that often, and certainly not the Canadian version.It has been around the block a few times in the 70 or so years since it was made. Here is what it comes with: The case, worn and with a few marks, the logo on the inside is only partially visible; the 3-piece Canadian made razor with the “1932” stamp that must be the patent date as I do not think it was produced then; and an open set of Canadian made Gillette blue blades (there are supposed to be 5 in there, but it looks like more than a 12 blades of various eras and one non-gillette blade) . It does not have the mirror anymore, there is a pocket where it used to be.
It still snaps closed, it is still relatively sturdy, and I am willing to bet that it still shaves nicely with all of those vintage blades. I will let you find out if you want to use one more of them.Hope you enjoy this kit! It would make a nice addition to your Gillette or Military razor collection.
