A WW1 era ( 1923 ) Yard Long Photograph: The Commissioning of the USS Colorado Battleship ! Writing reads: TA Tour...Photo Service...347 UPSAL ST...MT AIRY-Phila-PA. Commissioning of the USS COLORADO at the New York Shipbuilding Corp AUG 30th-1923. The USS COLORADO (BB-45) was the lead ship of the Colorado class of battleships. It was used in the search for Emelia Earhart...Was out for repairs during Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor...was used to patrol Golden Gate Bridge area against Japanese aggression...and saw Pacific Duty. It was placed out of (commission in reserve), in Hawaii in 1947. It was sold for scrap in 1959. A very nice Military Yard Long of notoriety !!! Condition ( Comes rolled up )...is very good with no rips or tears. NO creases. There is over-all yellowing...back has over-all general dust & dirt residue. There are some small edge wrinkles. Nice Yard Long of a United States WW1 era & WW2 use Battleship. I stand behind all items and their descriptions. Returns are for items not as described. NY state residents add 8.75% sales tax.
