From one of the great watchmakers this is a hunting case Parkinson and Frodsham fully working key wound pocket watch made in 1859.
Parkinson and Frodsham clocks and watches are in numerous museums around the world including the Power House museum in Sydney. This maker had a royal warrant and was one of the great innovators and inventors in the field of horology.
This watch is a great example with a very early French layout to the movement with an exceptional counter-balance lever escapement and diamond endstone to the balance. A great watchmaker and great watch the perfect combination and a very rare find.
