Champ Jack Johnson RPPC World Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson defended his titleagainst the former champion Jim Jeffries in one of the mostcelebrated fights of all time. Jeffries ended a 5 year retirementto attempt to win the title from Johnson, the first African-Americanto lay claim to the coveted prize. Despite the hoopla Johnsondominated the fight from the outset and stopped Jeffries in the15th round to retain the title. Presented here is a silver-gelatinreal photo unused postcard. This looks to be a pre-1909 JackJohnson looking very youthful. I believe it\'s circa 1907. Its gradedby SCG Vg. In my honest opinion, it should be higher. I see nocrease or any other imperfections. The cloudiness around thepants area is from the silver gelatin. This is a very tough JackJohnson in High-Grade regardless of the SCG grade. I haven\'tseen another copy floating around. Exceptional rare postcard!!
