What are fake gauges? (Fake Gauge expanders)?

This is a style of tribal earrings made for people with regular pierced ears. This allows you to wear an earring style that appears to be very thick, and looks like it is going through your ears, thus the name \"fake gauges. In some cases, people are talking real gauged earrings and cutting them and putting in pins so that people with normal pierced ears can wear them. Since this style of earrings has become very popular, most craftsmen and artists are now making the fake gauges, also designing earrings specifically for this style of earrings.

What are stick style earrings?

This is a similar idea, but instead of pin going through the ear, (Surgical steel) these earrings are designed using a pin that is from horn or bone that is actually a small stick. Some styles will look like they are going through your ears, but more often than not, the stick goes through the ear above aorganic or abstracted design.

What are real gauges?

This style of earrings requires a hole in your ear lobe as large as the post of the earrings. This is body jewelry for pierced ears (stretched hole).
