This Shako is in really good condition, considering it\'s age. The chin strap has broken off from one side at the point that it attaches inside the shako. The brim is in extremely nice shape but about a third of the stitching that attaches it to the body has rotted away. The green underside of the brim has a large raised G and four raised dots. The inside lining has an E stenciled on the side. The sweatband is entirely intact and very pliable. The outside of the shako has scuffs and scratches from use but still is very presentable. All of the stitching (except where noted earlier) is solid and intact. The green horse hair plume came with the shako when I got it but I\'m uncertain as to it being original to the shako.
