This sale is for a Red Cross WWI US \"Venereal Prophylaxis Unit\" solid wood chest. This is an extremely rare medical/military/Red Cross collectible so much so that another example cannot be found on the Internet. These were made to help compound the loss of soldiers to Venereal Diseases overseas during the war. This chest would have been full of all kinds of VD Medical treatments. Shipping will be expensive because this wood chest is heavy and large. This would make an awesome conversation piece to own and I have really enjoyed owning it. No returns accepted at this time due to the cost of return shipping would be too great for me to absorb.

Condition: This Solid wood chest from the WWI period is quite old and shows wear as seen in pictures. Inside there is some staining. There are some tiny holes on the lid I believe from someone using this to hammer on top of and the nail went through a little. The same theory goes for why there is some paint on the lid and on the from which doesn\'t appear to be part of the original design. The unwanted paint may be able to be removed by paint thinner or something similar but I am not an expert. Please take a close look at all pictures up close to understand what you are buying.
