DESCRIPTIONRelive life, and love, on the farm with this pop-out Valentine depicting two youngsters taking the tractor for a ride. Perhaps a ride in the parade down main street as the young girls waves her handkerchief from the hay cart which is towed behind. The side of the hay cart sports the message \"My Dear Sweetheart.\" An additional bonus is the original envelope in which the card was mailed (according to the previous owner).
To stand upright, a simple lift of the hay cart allows it to maneuver away from the tractor. The card is marked \"Printed in Germany\" on the bottom rim of the back tire, and the imagery of the children is reminiscent of Frances Brundage illustrations..

MEASUREMENTS6 1/4\" H x 12 1/4\" W x 1 1/4\" D in open position

CONDITIONThe outer edges of the card are crisp. A portion of flowers and the necks of both children have been reinforced from the back. With close inspection, a small tear on a back wheel can also be found. The honeycomb is still intact and the colors are vibrant. The corners/folds of the hay cart are also solid.

Our private collection of more 300 fold out cards include mechanical cards that pop-up to display airplanes, cars, trains, ships, and children and/or animals in various scenes with Cupid. Some of the cards were acquired from the private collection of Evalene Pulati, founder of theNational Valentine Collectors Association.
We have NEVER purchased reproductions or cards that were \"harvested\" from vintage scrap books. The backside of each card is original and without glue damage. Most bends or tears to a card have been meticulously restored with age appropriate paper to help minimize depreciation of value. ALL cards have been stored on acid free foam core in a climate controlled Environment, and will be shipped to the new buyer with the acid free mount.
