Hi! This sale is for a lovely piece of antique paisley. This paisley piece was made c. 1860-1880. It is primarily made of wool, which makes it nice to use for rug hooking. It adds a lovely sparkle to primitive rugs. This paisley piece isbright red with black, teal, burnt orange, olive green and dull turquoise and a bit of goldin the background. I only use paisleys that are damaged in some way, as the ones that are perfect are best left to collectors. I always machine wash and dry them first. If they can\'t stand up to being washed, most likely they won\'t hook too well. They work best when cut in a large size, and can be folded over if you need a smaller cut. You can also cut them by hand (which is what I usually do) I find them in antique shops, and love to look for color variations that I haven\'t seen before so please check my store for more colors. This paisley piece is about 14\" by 12\".This Paisley seems to be fairly strong, but will probably haveone or two small holes but they are easily worked around.
